THE CENTRAL MARKET / EL MERCADO CENTRAL

The Central Market was built in 1893. It is a building of eclectic style, combining iron and glass architecture. It was rebuilt in 1982. Its main façade looks to the Paseo de Almería and has a classic sculpture of a woman, symbol of abundance. Inside the market we can see the traditional stalls which sell food from Almería.
